Believe
“Then they asked him, "What must we do to do the works God requires?" Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent." – John 6:28-29
The bible clearly says that our work is to believe in Jesus Christ who God sent down to us to serve as the ultimate sacrifice to allow us eternal life with our Father in heaven. So our primary purpose is to believe that very thing, through and through with no doubt, reservation or second guessing.
Live the Word
God’s Word, The Bible, is the very foundation of our faith. It speaks volumes on what we should do with our lives and how we should do it. We are children of the Living God and as such we strive to live our lives the way Jesus shows us so long ago. We believe that faith comes by hearing and hearing of the Word of God. (Romans 10:17) Our faith requires discipline in the word and an unending pursuit of its truth.
Our Calling
Perhaps our greatest purpose is the fulfill “The Great Commission” (Matthew 28:18-20). It is not good enough to simply sit back and live a quiet life of worship to our God. As servants to the Most High God we are tasked with showing our community who Jesus Christ is and how important it is that everyone believes in His sacrifice. We are not to do this through forceful measures but simply by being living examples of Jesus.
